SWSA elects new management board for the next three years
The Semantic Web Science Association (SWSA) has announced the election of a new management board, to serve for the next three years. According to SWSA’s statutes, board members, including president, vice-presidents, secretary and treasurer, are elected by the general membership during the annual members’ meeting.
The new board takes up leadership at a critical moment, as SWSA continues its mission to support research and collaboration in the Semantic Web and related fields worldwide. The refreshed leadership will also guide SWSA’s growing role in organising key events such as the International Semantic Web Conference (ISWC) and, starting next year, the European Semantic Web Conference (ESWC) series.
The new board consists of:
- President: Elena Simperl, UK
- Vice-presidents: Lalana Kagal, USA & John Domingue, UK
- Secretary: Edward Curry, Ireland
- Treasurer: Harald Sack, Germany
We extend our warmest congratulations to the newly elected board and look forward to their leadership advancing SWSA’s mission in semantic web research and community building.
